The NHL lockout isn’t over yet, but the Ottawa Senators are already trying to figure out how to convince disgruntled hockey fans to return to Scotiabank Place. A poll sent out to past ticket buyers Monday offers up a slate of potential incentives — including free parking and two-for-one tickets — and asks respondents how likely they would be to take advantage.

Robin Lehner is doing his best to deflect attention away from himself after his solid start to the AHL season with the Binghamton Senators. At the same time, however, the Senators promising goaltending prospect says the critics of fellow Swedes Jakob Silfverberg and Mika Zibanajed need to relax and give them time to adapt.

It’s funny how some people can hear exactly the same thing and come away with entirely different reactions. Such was the case for Ottawa Senators players on Monday. They gathered around a cell phone during the 90-minute bus trek here from the Bell Sensplex late Monday afternoon, listening as NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr provided an update from clandestine weekend meetings with the NHL, aimed at reaching a solution to the NHL lockout.
