The Los Angeles Kings have been crowned and the NHL season is finally over. Well, not quite. The season doesn’t officially wrap up until the regular season stars are honoured next Wednesday in Las Vegas. Then comes the promise for the future with the NHL draft in Pittsburgh on June 22-23. Free agency begins July 1. Then there are the trades and the off-season signings, and well, the cycle starts anew. Let’s face it, there really isn’t much of a break.
In August, the NHL plans to round up a posse of general managers, coaches, players and officials to discuss the state of the game and how rules are enforced.
