At this point, it appears the Senators’ No. 1 goaltender, Craig Anderson, will still be on the sidelines Saturday in the latest chapter of the Battle of Ontario against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Senators were beaten in shootout by Montreal on Wednesday night, but increased their lead over the ninth-place Winnipeg Jets to four points in the standings.
Jakob Silfverberg scored the go-ahead goal in the third period Friday night to make a winner of the Ottawa Senators and goalie Robin Lehner against Lehner’s boyhood idol Henrik Lundqvist and the New York Rangers.

Paul MacLean didn’t pretend otherwise.
He knew goaltender Ben Bishop stole two points for the Ottawa Senators in Monday’s 2-1 shootout victory over the Montreal Canadiens.
Early in his tenure as Ottawa Senators coach, Paul MacLean said that young NHL players must learn that having a great game once in a while isn’t enough. MacLean said that incoming players have to remember the best game they had in junior and duplicate it every night in the big leagues.
