Born in 1990 in Maple Ridge, BC, Patrick Wiercioch is a solid, two way defenceman with the Ottawa Senators hockey club. He was selected by Ottawa in the second round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

He played the majority of the 2011-2012 season with Ottawa’s minor league affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. His season was cut short by a serious throat injury after being hit by a puck. In 67 games, he scored 4 goals and added 14 assists to help the B-Sens.

At 6’4″ tall, Wiercioch has the size and the ability to help out Ottawa on defence. During the lockout, Wiercioch has been playing for the Binghamton Senators of the AHL.
