Mike Lundin was acquired in the 4th round (102nd overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning. He played four years for the University of Maine before making his NHL debut with the Lightning in the 2007-08 season.
Lundin signed a one year contract with the Minnesota Wild in 2011, but due to injury appeared in only 17 games with the Wild.
In July of 2012, Lundin left Minnesota and signed, as a free agent , with the Ottawa Senators. He is a skilled defenceman who demonstrates incredible play-making abilities with a hard shot. He should help Ottawa on the point as well as the power-play and can be used in most every situation.
