On April 10, 2013, the Ottawa Senators recalled forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau from the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League. He was drafted 96th overall by the Seantors in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Pageau is definitely a hometown boy, born and raised in Hull, Quebec, as well as played his junior hockey with the Gatineau Olympiques. He has been trying to make the big jump from the Binghamton Senators of the AHL,  to the Ottawa Seantors of the NHL. Until his recent call-up by the Senators, Pageau had counted 27 points with the B-Sens.

Pageau is noted as an all around great player. Due to his relatively small stature, many clubs shied away from him. The Senators feel his exceptional talents offset his physical size and look to Jean-Gabriel Pageau to become a special player in the years to come.
