In 2009 he announced his engagement to girlfriend Ellen Reynolds, also a graduate of Notre Dame.

During the 2012 NHL Lockout, Condra first played for the Fussen Leopards in Germany and later moved to second-tier league Eishockey-Bundesliga.

In late December he joined Team Big Rig during the “Krush Cancer” charity game in support of Chris Kushneriuk at the Minto Arena in Ottawa.
