Colin Greening, born March 9, 1986, was acquired by the Senators 204th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Greening played four full seasons at Cornell University and was playing for Upper Canada College when drafted by Ottawa.

The 6’3″ Greening made his NHL debut in a 2-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils on February 1, 2011. He scored his first NHL goal against the Atlanta Thrashers in a 3-1 Ottawa victory.

Greening has excellent speed and size for an NHL player. He has the ability to go to the net and uses his big frame well along the boards.

His strong play helped him earn a new three-year one-way contract with the Senators organization, which will keep him an Ottawa Senator until at least 2014.

During the 2012 lockout, Greening played overseas for the Danish ice hockey team, Aalborg Pirates.
