Zibanejad moved to wing with Spezza

After playing centre during all of training camp and the first two regular-season games, Mika Zibanejad found himself on the right wing with Jason Spezza at centre and Colin Greening at left wing.
It wasn’t a move that gave Zibanejad any reason to panic.
For Djurgardens in the Swedish Elite League, Zibanejad split his time between centre and right wing, and whenever he played for the national team, he played right wing.
He feels more comfortable at centre but he doesn’t feel like a stranger on the wing.
“It’s a little different, especially when I played the whole pre-season and the first two games at centre,” he said.
“But I’m happy to get that opportunity to play with Jason.”
There would be adjustments to make playing wing on the smaller North American ice surface, but he has a bit of experience after playing in several tournaments here, so he isn’t worried.
Neither is MacLean.
“I expect Mika to make all those adjustments,” he said.
