Whatever happened to
The Senators have signed Hugh Jessiman, originally selected 12th overall by the New York Rangers in the 2003 NHL entry draft. Despite being such a high draft pick, Jessiman has played only two NHL games, with the Florida Panthers, in 2010-11, playing primarily in the American Hockey League as a rugged right winger. Jessiman, 6-6 and 231 pounds, signed a two-way contract with the Senators, meaning he’ll receive an AHL salary if, as expected, he’s assigned to Binghamton next season. In 2011-12, Jessiman scored a combined 27 goals and 17 assists with the Abbotsford Heat and the Lake Erie Monsters.
