Tough blow for Wideman

Turns out that Chris Wideman suffered an upper body injury in the final game of his collegiate career with the Miami Redhawks. Wideman, selected in the fourth round of the 2009 draft (100^th overall) by the Senators, officially signed a two-year contract with the Senators on Wednesday. He was originally expected to finish out the season with Binghamton of the AHL, but he won’t play for the rest of the season because of the injury.
