Toronto newspaper trolls Senators, fans over ticket policy
Earlier this week, the Ottawa Senators sent out an email to fans asking them to help “Take Back the Bank” from legions of invading Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens fans.
Earlier this week, the Ottawa Senators sent out an email to fans asking them to help “Take Back the Bank” from legions of invading Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens fans.
They offered discounts to season ticket holders who wanted extra tickets to rivalry games, on one condition: No giving said tickets to enemy fans. The Senators even went so far as to threaten to revoke pre-sale privileges in the future if any of the discount tickets were re-sold on the open market.
So leave it to the Toronto Sun to welcome them to the Big Smoke in typical trashy tab fashion:

Okay, yeah, that’s pretty trashy.
The solution to keeping Leafs fans out of the bank is to repeatedly show what irks them on the video scoreboard. Every time they boo Alfie, show the clip of him taking out Tucker and the ‘stick into the stands’ joke. Over and over. Then show it again. Maybe add Chara rag dolling McCabe for comic relief. Unfortunately the Leafs fans may have ample opportunity to mock the SENS this year, so throw it back at them.
