With hockey season upon us, it’s time for everyone to jump into the pool.

The Ottawa Citizen is pleased to present the SenatorsExtra All-Canadian Hockey Pool, a weekly contest that tests your ability to predict the outcomes of all NHL games involving Canadian teams. For Week 1, just sign up before Thursday, make your picks and check back frequently to see how you’re doing.

You don’t have to be an expert to play. You will be credited with one point for a correct prediction and one bonus point for a correct prediction for Ottawa games. The number of points you accumulate will be used to rank you relative to other entrants for both weekly and overall prizes. The more points you have, the higher your ranking.

Each week’s leaders will receive two tickets to a Senators’ home game, while the overall champion wins use of the Ottawa Citizen suite at Scotiabank Place for an April 7 contest between the Senators and the Montreal Canadiens.
You can join any time to win a weekly prize. Tabulation of results for the grand prize begins at Week 3.

Bragging rights are also up for grabs. Can you out-predict the Citizen’s hockey writers? Visit SenatorsExtra.com, Ottawa’s meeting place for Senators’ fans, and take your best shot.
