Ottawa forward Jason Spezza was named the Second Star and Washington goalie Tomas Vokoun, who has led the Capitals to the League’s only remaining unbeaten record, was named Third Star.

Quick began the week with a 5-0 shutout of the St. Louis Blues, followed by a 2-0 victory against Phoenix and Saturday’s taut 1-0 win against Dallas.

The three consecutive shutouts, a first for an L.A. goaltender, marks the first back-to-back-to-back shutouts in the NHL since Columbus’ Steve Mason did it three years ago.

For the season, Quick is off to a 4-0-1 start with a goals-against average of 0.97 and a .967 save percentage. That includes stopping all 83 shots he faced last week.

In three games this week, Spezza had 3 goals and 7 points as he led the charge for an Ottawa team that is trying to rebound from a slow start.

Vokoun, meanwhile, has won every game he has appeared in this season and made a statement this week by beating Florida, 2-0, before handling Eastern Conference power Philadelphia by a 5-2 margin, and then defeating Western Conference leader Detroit, 7-1. For the week, Vokoun posted a 1.00 goals-against average and a .968 save percentage.
