Senators sign Princeton defenceman Sdao to contract
The Binghamton Senators have signed defenceman Michael Sdao to an amateur try-out contract.
Sdao, 23, was Ottawa’s seventh-round pick (191st overall) in the 2009 draft.
The 6-4, 220-pound defenceman recently completed his fourth and final season of college eligibility with the Princeton University Tigers, where he was an alternate captain.
Sdao played in 31 games this season and led all defencemen in scoring with 15 points on eight goals and sevens assists. In four years with the Tigers he scored 26 goals, 28 assists and recorded 236 penalty minutes in 118 games.
The Binghamton Senators return to action Friday when they host the Adirondack Phantoms.
