BUFFALO — Craig Anderson will be in net against the Buffalo Sabres and Bobby Butler will sit as the Ottawa Senators try to halt their three-game losing streak.
The Senators have won just one of their last six games, losing one in overtime and one in a shootout.
The Sabres are coming off a 4-1 loss to the New York Rangers and have won just two of their last six and three of their last 10.
The Sabres, however, are still hanging on to a playoff spot, No. 7, while the Senators have dropped out and sit No. 12 in the Eastern Conference.
The Sabres are 55-39-14 alltime against the Senators and 30-19-4 alltime in Buffalo.
The Senators have taken only one of four points from the Sabres this year, dropping a 3-2 shootout in Ottawa on Nov. 5 and losing 5-1 here on Nov. 11.
The Sabres are 8-2-0 in their last 10 games overall against the Senators, but only 4-5-1 against Ottawa in their last 10 games here in Buffalo.
Ryan Miller will be in net for the Sabres.
The Senators return from this game to play the Boston Bruins on Wednesday at Scotiabank Place.
