The Ottawa Senators take on the New York Rangers in Game 4 of their quarterfinal series. Which team will come out on top? Our prediction panel weighs in.

Ottawa Senators (1-2) at New York Rangers (2-1)

James Gordon, Citizen Sports Editor

Senators 1, Rangers 2 (2 OT)
This is pretty much the Senators’ season, so I’d expect them to come out flying. Still, King Henrik should rule the Senators again.
Record: 42-43
Exact scored predicted: 1

Wayne Scanlan, Citizen Hockey Columnist

Senators 3, Rangers 1
Tough call, I was taking Rangers here but with their playoff lives more or less on the line, the Senators will give a mighty push.
Record: 43-42
Exact scores predicted: 3

Ian Mendes, Sportnet.ca Senators reporter and blogger

Senators 3, Rangers 0
Yep. I just called a playoff shutout going the other way.
Record: 49-35
Exact scores predicted: 2

Graeme Nichols, writer/editor, The Sixth Sens blog and podcast, defending prediction panel champion

Senators 3, Rangers 2
Before the series, I predicted the Senators to win in six games, so if they’re going to make a series of it, they’re going to have to even this series on home ice.
Record: 46-38
Exact scores predicted: 2

Steve Lloyd, host, Healthy Scratches on Team 1200

Senators 3, Rangers 2 (OT)
I picked the Rangers to win this series in seven. That’s just another way of saying “I don’t know, but it’s going to be close.” For my pick to ring true, the Sens have to win tonight. They can’t go down 3-1.
Record: 46-38
Exact scores predicted: 1

Peter Raaymakers, writer/editor, Silver Seven Sens blog

Senators 2, Rangers 1
Lundqvist stole one for the Rangers in game three, but if the Sens keep shooting, they’re bound to score eventually–right? If Spezza and Michalek take their games up a notch and everyone else on the team can play as well as they did in game three, Ottawa should be able to tie this series back up.
Record: 46-37
Exact scores predicted: 4

Russell, host, SensUnderground podcast

Senators 2, Rangers 1
Well, it’s too late to start using my head for this. Gotta go with my heart from here on in (or will I, Ian?).
Record: 50-34
Exact scores predicted: 2

Jeremy Milks, writer/editor, Black Aces blog

Senators 3, Rangers 2
Here comes the counter-punch. As weird as it sounds, Ottawa must have gotten some confidence from a tough Game 3 loss knowing they were the better team minus a bad bounce. The Kanata crowd is still waiting for a goal, and when they get it, expect the foundation of the rink to shift.
Record: 47-36
Exact scores predicted: 2
