Ottawa Senators (41-30-10) at New Jersey Devils (47-28-6)

James Gordon, Citizen Sports Editor

Senators 3, Devils 2
Craig Anderson should get the start here as a final tuneup, and he’s be exceptional since returning from The Chicken Incident.
Record: 40-41
Exact scored predicted: 1

Wayne Scanlan, Citizen Hockey Columnist

Senators 3, Devils 1
I was going to take Jersey here, but after seeing those two lacklustre performances at home, I don’t think the Senators want to end the season on such a sour note.
Record: 41-40
Exact scores predicted: 3

Ian Mendes, Sportnet.ca Senators reporter and blogger

Senators 2, Devils 3
Not sure where to go in this one, because it’s meaningless for the Devils — and they have won five in a row. The Sens have been so streaky this season, it’s hard not to think their two-game losing streak will extend to three.
Record: 47-33
Exact scores predicted: 2

Graeme Nichols, writer/editor, The Sixth Sens blog and podcast, defending prediction panel champion

Senators 4, Devils 3
Karlsson will pick up the two points needed to reach 80 and the Senators will clinch the seventh seed and an Eastern Conference quarterfinals matchup with the Bruins.
Record: 45-35
Exact scores predicted: 2

Steve Lloyd, host, Healthy Scratches on Team 1200

Senators 3, Devils 1
I really have no idea as the game means very little to both teams in the grand scheme of things.
Record: 45-35
Exact scores predicted: 1

Peter Raaymakers, writer/editor, Silver Seven Sens blog

Senators 4, Devils 2
The Senators have been downright disinterested in the last two games, but they should be prepared to ramp it up in the season’s final game — setting them up for the dreaded first-round matchup with the Bruins.
Record: 45-35
Exact scores predicted: 3

Russell, host, SensUnderground podcast

Senators 1, Devils 3
The last two games kind of gave me the impression that the boys have taken their foot off the gas pedal a bit and are saving it for the playoffs. That doesn’t bode well for this game. The Sens tend to struggle against trap teams and nobody does that better than the Devils. There’s little chance they will be able to crack this nut with anything less than a total effort, which I don’t expect. Whatever, just nobody get hurt! (as I throw my death stare at Mendes).
Record: 47-33
Exact scores predicted: 2

Jeremy Milks, writer/editor, Black Aces blog

Senators 2, Devils 3
If they have to lose a game, this is the one. Ottawa will go in trying to win but inspiration will be hard to find on the road in a game they don’t really need. Losing Neil hurts as well.
Record: 44-35
Exact scores predicted: 2
