Montreal Canadiens (43-30-7) at Ottawa Senators (31-39-10)

Like the New York Rangers, I just couldn’t close the deal. Holding a two-game lead on the rest of the panel in the final week, I went against my strategy of making unconventional picks to build the lead. Congrats to Graeme on a stellar comeback.

Nobody cares about us also-rans. We’re like the non-playoff teams running out the string. Let the last of the panel contenders duke it out in Cory’s last stand.

I’ve been wrong so much lately, I may as well end the season with another incorrect pick.
Record: 41-40

Graeme Nichols, writer/editor, The Sixth Sens blog and podcast

Senators 1, Bruins 4
In what could possibly be Cory Clouston’s last game behind the Senators bench, I’m not expecting the Sens to go win one for the coach. And after Thurday’s emotional OT win over the Canadiens, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the team have a bit of a letdown.

I am hoping James picks the favourite Bruins in this one and I will hope the Sens can pull off one more miracle upset. Who knows, they may catch a complacent B’s team looking ahead to the play-offs. Now, if he picks Ottawa, then see you next year. No one remembers who finished 2nd, right? I’M ALL IN!
Record: 46-34

Peter Raaymakers, writer/editor, Silver Seven Sens blog

Senators 2, Bruins 4
It would be great for the Sens players to endear themselves further to Bryan Murray by winning the first game after his three-year extension, but the Bruins just need it. It’s on the road, it’s against Tim Thomas, and the Bruins are a better team.

Might as well go out on my shield. A shutout of the Bruins may sound crazy, but the whole last half of the season has been like a Fellini movie. You can’t say it was ever boring!
