Boston Bruins (47-29-4) at Ottawa Senators (41-29-10)

James Gordon, Citizen Sports Editor

Senators 6, Bruins 3
I’m so out of touch with the Bruins’ goaltending situation I have no idea who is starting this game. Marty Turco? Some guy name Anton? Whatever — the important thing is Tea Party Timmy is resting in Beantown.
Record: 40-40
Exact scored predicted: 1

Wayne Scanlan, Citizen Hockey Columnist

Senators 3, Bruins 1
Flip of the coin in these meaningless games. Sens should be able to beat the redoubtable Anton Khudobin in the Bruins goal, minus Big Z to protect him. That is, if they care to. They should. Fan Appreciation Night, boys.
Record: 41-39
Exact scores predicted: 3

Ian Mendes, Sportnet.ca Senators reporter and blogger

Senators 2, Bruins 3
This is going to turn out to be like picking who wins a preseason game. No Thomas, Bergeron or Chara for the Bruins. And I bet the Sens rest a couple of guys too. The only prediction I want to make is that Anton Khudobin will be the most Googled term after it’s announced he’s starting in goal for the Bruins.
Record: 46-33
Exact scores predicted: 2

Graeme Nichols, writer/editor, The Sixth Sens blog and podcast, defending prediction panel champion

Senators 4, Bruins 3
So Claude Julien has decided to leave Tim Thomas, Zdeno Chara and Patrice Bergeron back in Boston? Sens fans should be rejoicing. The last time Thomas no showed something, the Bruins immediately went into a funk.
Record: 45-34
Exact scores predicted: 2

Steve Lloyd, host, Healthy Scratches on Team 1200

Senators 5, Bruins 2
So tough to judge what is essentially a nothing game, so based on the fact Boston is resting many of it’s top players, I’ll take the Sens.
Record: 45-34
Exact scores predicted: 1

Peter Raaymakers, writer/editor, Silver Seven Sens blog

Senators 0, Bruins 3
Ooooh, first-round preview! It’s almost as though the schedule-makers predicted this! But obviously no one predicted this, because virtually no one predicted the Senators to make the playoffs this year. Either way, it’s a huge statement game — and I think Boston’s got a statement to make.
Record: 44-35
Exact scores predicted: 3

Russell, host, SensUnderground podcast

Senators 3, Bruins 2
I honestly have no idea at all who might win this game. It should be intense as these teams size up each other for their coming play-off battle. Maybe the Sens have a little more to prove so I’ll go with my guys.
Record: 47-32
Exact scores predicted: 2

Jeremy Milks, writer/editor, Black Aces blog

Senators 1, Bruins 3
I get the feeling some Ottawa players will be reaching for the ice packs after this one. Both teams will want to save a little nastiness for a possible first-round meeting but it won’t be a Tupperware party either.
Record: 43-35
