Ottawa Senators (29-38-10) at Florida Panthers (29-36-12)

James Gordon, SenatorsExtra.com editor/Citizen hockey writer

Senators 3, Panthers 2
The Senators are reverting back to that team that wins and loses when it shouldn’t, making it all the more difficult to ignore logic and just pick the victor. With Craig Anderson going up against his former team, however, I have to give Ottawa the nod.
Record: 46-31
Exact scored predicted: 3

Wayne Scanlan, Citizen columnist

Senators 3, Panthers 1
Florida stinks, Craig Anderson loves to beat his old team. Maybe it’s as simple as that.
Record: 42-35
Exact scores predicted: 5

Ian Mendes, Sportnet.ca Senators reporter and blogger

Senators 2, Panthers 1
I have no real rationale for picking the Sens over the Panthers, but Ottawa continues to play better hockey while Florida looks like a team playing out the string.
Record: 39-38
Exact scores predicted: 3

Graeme Nichols, writer/editor, The Sixth Sens blog and podcast

Senators 4, Panthers 2
Every time I pick the Senators to win of late, they wind up losing. Those rooting for a tank job can thank me later.
Record: 44-32
Exact scores predicted: 4

Russell, host, SensUnderground podcast

Senators 4, Panthers 1
We haven’t witnessed an tank battle of these proportions since Rommel met Patton. Two teams, locked in a death roll, struggling for the ultimate win; a loss. Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling about this and think the Sens will go Blitzkrieg on the Panthers tonight. They have more experience being bad than we do.
Record: 44-32
Exact scores predicted: 2

Peter Raaymakers, writer/editor, Silver Seven Sens blog

Senators 5, Panthers 1
Oh boy, I am just plummeting in the standings right now. And so are the Florida Panthers, with just two wins in their last ten games. If Ottawa wins the game they’ll end up precariously close to missing out on a lottery pick, but against the Panthers, it doesn’t seem likely that they’ll lose (although, realistically, it would be for the best).
Record: 41-30
Exact scores predicted: 3

Jeremy Milks, writer/editor, Black Aces blog

Senators 2, Panthers 1
The Sens have lost 4 of their last 5 road games and seem to be in a bit of a funk, but they are playing the Panthers after all, who are embarking on their annual rebuild. Even Pete DeBoer looks like he’s ready to jump on the next bus to Anywhere But Here.
Record: 42-33
Exact scores predicted: 3
