Ottawa Senators (38-28-10) at Winnipeg Jets (35-32-8)

James Gordon, Citizen Sports Editor

Senators 4, Jets 2
The Jets are scary good at MTS, and if they lose this game, even their faintest playoff hopes will be dead. Yep, all signs point to a Winnipeg victory, which is why I’m taking Ottawa. Hey, it worked for the Pittsburgh game.

Last call for the Jets.

Ian Mendes, Sportnet.ca Senators reporter and blogger

Senators 4, Jets 1
The Sens have shown an ability to string wins together, so after Saturday’s impressive (and important) win over the Penguins, I say they run the winning streak to two games against a Jets team that is running out of fuel.

Senators 4, Jets 1
I’m completely banking on Saturday’s victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins giving the Senators momentum in a game that they have to win to keep them ahead of Buffalo and Washington.

This is a game the Sens should win, but I can’t help but think with the Jets playoff hopes now razor thin, the MTS Centre crowd will be as loud as it’s been all season. Beware the seventh man.

That Foligno-Turris-Alfredsson line was a long time coming, but it looks darn good. Hopefully Erik Karlsson can break out of his funk as easily as he’s been breaking sticks, and the team builds on their Saturday night victory to get rolling at the right time: En route to the playoffs.

Russell, host, SensUnderground podcast

Senators 2, Jets 1
Are the Sens really back? The Jets are very tough at home, so I’m very undecided about this one. However, the Sens tend to win and lose in bunches and when I just don’t have a feeling one way or the other, I go with my team. Take Ottawa in a very tight one here.

Senators 3, Jets 2
Ottawa might be getting their hands back, which is bad news for the Jets who dropped a huge game on Saturday and should be a little deflated when they look at the standings. The Sens have a chance to finish them off. I think they do it.
