Ottawa Senators (27-37-9) at New York Rangers (40-30-4)

Senators 1, Rangers 3
I really believe the Rangers are going to surprise a lot of people in the playoffs. They have a top-notch goalie, some solid scorers and a Cup-winning coach. That, combined with the fact the Blueshirts will be one step closer to a playoff spot with a win, suggests they’ll be a tough test for an Ottawa squad playing out the string.
Record: 43-30
Exact scored predicted: 3

Have to go with the hot hand, I guess, although the Rangers have been ordinary at home this year and could be complacent now that they’re somewhat comfortably ensconced in 7th.
Record: 41-32
Exact scores predicted: 5

Ian Mendes, Sportnet.ca Senators reporter and blogger

Senators 2, Rangers 1
The Sens have had a fair measure of success at MSG over the past couple of years. With Craig Anderson and Henrik Lundqvist involved, I wouldn’t expect more than three goals scored in this one.
Record: 36-37
Exact scores predicted: 2

Graeme Nichols, writer/editor, The Sixth Sens blog and podcast

Senators 2, Rangers 4
With a 7-3-0 record in their past 10 games, the Rangers are on a bit of a roll as they head down the home stretch. Considering Bryan Murray said at his news conference the other day that the Senators shooters were having problems scoring on Curtis McElhinney in practice, unless the Rags give Lundqvist the night off, I don’t have enough faith in Ottawa’s offence to win this one.
Record: 44-28
Exact scores predicted: 4

Russell, host, SensUnderground podcast

Senators 1, Rangers 3
I have the same feeling about this game as I did about the ‘Canes; the Sens will play them hard but with so much on the line, the hot Rangers should be able to hold them off. I wonder if the NYR fans will turn to the broadcast booth and boo Potvin?
Record: 44-28
Exact scores predicted: 2

Senators 2, Rangers 3
The Rangers are in a pretty firm playoff spot, but they’re rolling right now with five straight wins. The Senators are still competing night in and night out, but they simply don’t have the skill to compete with better teams. With Lundqvist in the opposing net, I don’t see the Senators spoiling much for the Rags tonight.
Record: 41-26
Exact scores predicted: 3

Jeremy Milks, writer/editor, Black Aces blog

Senators 1, Rangers 4
I’ve said it before, there’s something about the Rangers I like and it’s not just Lundqvist. They are putting it all together at the right time and should be able to handle the Sens at home. What’s the over/under on how many camera shots we’ll see of Glen Sather chomping on a cigar?
Record: 42-29
Exact scores predicted: 3
