Ottawa Senators (27-36-9) at Carolina Hurricanes (33-29-10)

James Gordon, SenatorsExtra.com editor/Citizen hockey writer

Senators 1, Hurricanes 4
The Senators keep surprising this panel by winning games against playoff teams and hopefuls, but I’m not switching now just to catch them on the downswing. Had Tampa not fallen asleep at the wheel last game, it would have been an Ottawa loss. Plus, I’ve never liked how the Senators play in Raleigh.
Record: 42-30
Exact scored predicted: 3

Wayne Scanlan, Citizen columnist

Senators 2, Hurricanes 3
Where’s Maggie the Monkey? Her turn of the wheel is just the thing for these impossible to predict late-season Sens. I’ll try Carolina but who knows.
Record: 40-32
Exact scores predicted: 5

Ian Mendes, Sportnet.ca Senators reporter and blogger

Senators 2, Hurricanes 4
I don’t think I’ve ever broadcast a Sens victory at the RBC in Raleigh. And the Hurricanes desperately need a win to close the gap on the Sabres.
Record: 35-37
Exact scores predicted: 2

Graeme Nichols, writer/editor, The Sixth Sens blog and podcast

I wish I had the same level of confidence in this pick that Bryan Murray has when he discusses his knowledge of the real Craig Anderson.
Record: 43-28
Exact scores predicted: 4

Russell, host, SensUnderground podcast

They just keep surprising us, these here Sens, but with the ‘Canes fighting for a playoff spot, I have to think it means a little bit more to them.
Record: 43-28
Exact scores predicted: 2

Peter Raaymakers, writer/editor, Silver Seven Sens blog

Senators 2, Hurricanes 4
So much desperation for the Canes right now, it’s pretty much a must-win for them; they’ll throw everything (including the kitchen sink) at the Senators. I think it’ll be a close game, but Carolina will come out on top by the end.
Record: 40-26
Exact scores predicted: 3

Jeremy Milks, writer/editor, Black Aces blog

Senators 3, Hurricanes 1
I continually underestimate these Sens and it’s wreaking havoc with my record, so I’m not going to do it anymore. Plus, they’ve won four of their last five road games. The Sens will continue to play the spoiler down the stretch here and pull off a big win against the Canes.
Record: 42-28
Exact scores predicted: 3
