Ottawa Senators (36-25-10) at Montreal Canadiens (28-32-11)

James Gordon, SenatorsExtra.com editor/Citizen hockey writer

Senators 3, Canadiens 2
Ben Bishop is quickly becoming the Brian Elliott of shootouts in Ottawa. Senators would do well to wrap this baby up in regulation.
Record: 35-36
Exact scored predicted: 1

Wayne Scanlan, Citizen columnist

Senators 3, Canadiens 1
If the Senators weren’t properly motivated in Montreal, they should be after absorbing another Habs win.
Record: 38-33
Exact scores predicted: 3

Ian Mendes, Sportnet.ca Senators reporter and blogger

Senators 4, Canadiens 2
I usually don’t like taking the Sens over the Habs in Ottawa, but I’ll go with the home team in this one. I thought the Sens seemed fairly flat on Wednesday at the Bell Centre.
Record: 41-30
Exact scores predicted: 2

Graeme Nichols, writer/editor, The Sixth Sens blog and podcast, defending prediction panel champion

Senators 3, Canadiens 1
The Senators just have to get the split against Montreal. I can only hope that James Gordon doesn’t pick the Sens now and jinx things.
Record: 40-31
Exact scores predicted: 2

Steve Lloyd, host, Healthy Scratches on Team 1200

Senators 4, Canadiens 1
The standings usually don’t matter when these two teams meet, but the Habs are what the Sens were supposed to be…tuuurible. Thanks to Boston taking a step back in the new year, Ottawa might actually have a shot at the NE crown. So even if they are starting to feel secure in a playoff spot, there is still plenty to play for.
Record: 41-30
Exact scores predicted: 1

Peter Raaymakers, writer/editor, Silver Seven Sens blog

Senators 4, Canadiens 2
Ottawa does not want to lose back-to-back games to Montreal. That would be bad. I expect them to give Bishop a bit more support, and do everything in their power to avoid a shootout. Bishy don’t do shootouts.
Record: 40-31
Exact scores predicted: 3

Russell, host, SensUnderground podcast

Senators 3, Canadiens 1
Okay, I’m still not happy about that loss the other night and Friday I’ll be attending the game with a friend from Newfoundland. He’s really looking forward to this, so they had better put with a more complete effort than they did on Wednesday. For God’s sake, MTL are the worst team in the East! Beat these clowns!
Record: 42-29
Exact scores predicted: 2

Jeremy Milks, writer/editor, Black Aces blog

Senators 5, Canadiens 1
The games are so close lately that we’re bound to see a blowout soon. Ottawa’s still playing well so I think they put it all together and just hammer the Habs here tonight. So, basically, watch for a 1-0 Montreal win in the shootout.
Record: 38-32
