Buffalo Sabres (31-29-8) at Ottawa Senators (36-25-8)

James Gordon, SenatorsExtra.com editor/Citizen hockey writer

Senators 3, Sabres 2
Really tough one here. The Sabres will be desperate to climb back in the playoff picture, but the Senators would like to keep them well behind. Gotta take the home team here.
Record: 35-34
Exact scored predicted: 1

Wayne Scanlan, Citizen columnist

Senators 3, Sabres 2
I’ll go with the home team, but the Sabres will be desperate.
Record: 38-31
Exact scores predicted: 3

Ian Mendes, Sportnet.ca Senators reporter and blogger

Senators 2, Sabres 3
I’ve got no feeling on this game, so I’ll take the Sabres in the hopes that everyone else took the Sens.
Record: 40-29
Exact scores predicted: 2

Graeme Nichols, writer/editor, The Sixth Sens blog and podcast, defending prediction panel champion

Senators 3, Sabres 0
Ben Bishop already has as many wins as Alex Auld. I can’t bet against that.
Record: 40-29
Exact scores predicted: 2

Steve Lloyd, host, Healthy Scratches on Team 1200

Senators 1, Sabres 3
Ryan Miller took a breather in Buffalo’s loss to Boston. He’ll be back in there tonight. The 2010 Vezina winner is back to to his world class form.
Record: 40-29
Exact scores predicted: 1

Peter Raaymakers, writer/editor, Silver Seven Sens blog

Senators 5, Sabres 1
Kyle Turris: Two goals. Book it. Add another assist to Rob Klinkhammer for good measure (yes, I’m just making ridiculously specific predictions now — the payoff vastly outweighs the cost).
Record: 40-29
Exact scores predicted: 3

Russell, host, SensUnderground podcast

Senators 3, Sabres 1
So, they lost to Florida but they beat the Rangers? Funny team, these Sens. Miller has been great lately for the Sabres but Ottawa can’t seem to go too wrong with whoever they throw in nets at the moment. And MacLean seems to be pushing all the right buttons as far as waking up the passengers. I’ll go with the Sens again.
Record: 42-27
Exact scores predicted: 2

Jeremy Milks, writer/editor, Black Aces blog

Senators 2, Sabres 3
Seems the key to beating the Sabres is shutting down Jason Pominville, and the Sens have won three straight against Buffalo by doing just that. Ottawa will also have a strut in their stride after icing the Rangers.
Record: 38-30
