With all due respect to Alex Auld, the drop-off from Craig Anderson is huge. Make way for Robin Lehner against the Isles Sunday.
Record: 32-30

Pre knife wars, I was taking the Senators here. But it’s a tough one for Auld in his new role.

I’ve been off work for the past two days, but I’m assuming there hasn’t been any significant injuries to the Sens since Wednesday’s win against Washington. I figure they’ll keep the hot-streak going.

With Anderson’s injury, I’m not surprised to see a veteran like Alex Auld get the an opportunity at facing the Stanley Cup Champions before handing to keys to the car over to Robin Lehner.

I actually flipped a coin here. Boston playing last night certainly gives the Sens an edge. Ottawa outplayed the Bruins in their first game after all star break, but “lapses” cost them two points. Can the Sens stay hot with Anderson on the shelf? They eek one out here.

I don’t know what it is, I’m just feeling a little bit odd about this one. Maybe Alex Auld will be especially motivated against his old team, or something? Whatever it is, Ottawa’s been on a good run, and it’s been driven by the scorer. As long as they stay away from sharp objects, the team should be alright.

I really was thinking about going with the Sens in an upset of the Bruins this game. However, the first cut is indeed the deepest.

I always pick the Sens against Boston and I’m always wrong. Why change now? I’m due.
