Philadelphia Flyers (40-15-6) at Ottawa Senators (20-32-9)

Don’t see how the depleted Senators are going to pull this one off. The Flyers are No. 1 in the Eastern Conference, thanks in part to their 20-7-3 on the road this season, while the Senators are 10-16-5 at Scotiabank Place. Not even Craig Anderson, who has played unbelievably well since coming over from Colorado, can overcome numbers like that.

Flyers are a little grumpy after losses to Phoenix and Islanders. That’s bad news for the Ott/Bingo Senators.

The Flyers will be catching a tired Sens team on Saturday. But even the most rested and talented teams are having a hard time beating Philadelphia this season.

If the Sens win, it will be like the Arcade Fire winning album of the year at the Grammys. And Flyers fans will be like those Eminem fans that asked themselves, “Who the hell is this group that we just lost to?”

I like their gusto, these youngens, but Philly will simply be too much for a mostly-bingo line up.

A lot of things are working against the Senators in this one, not the least of which is the fact that they’re playing the best team in the Eastern Conference. The only way Ottawa wins is if Anderson steals one, but considering the team is in a back-to-back situation, a win is unlikely.
Record: 36-23
Exact scores predicted: 3

While folks seem excited about the rebuild, there are going to be many nights like this as well. If they can keep it competitive, it should be considered a success for the Sens.

Exact scores predicted: 3
