Craig Anderson is heating up, and he generally plays well against his former teams. Plus, don’t underestimate the Senators’ motivation to enter a lengthy break (they don’t play again until Monday) on a winning note.

A split would be pretty good on this tight trip.

I like the way Craig Anderson played on Tuesday in Tampa. When he gets hot, he can be pretty hard to beat.

Ottawa is playing better of late and I’m inclined to think that most of the panel will pick them to win. If I’m going to make an ascent up the panel standings, I’m going to have to take some risks.

Put my picks in Sunday morning as I am presently on an island more concerned about the ice in my drink. The Sens will be buoyed by their presence of their fathers….or I could be dead wrong. Who cares, I’m on a beach. “Suck it Mendes.”

If you had asked me before the season whether or not I was disappointed that this game wasn’t televised, I would have said “not even slightly.” Now, with playoff repercussions potentially on the line for BOTH teams (who’d have thought?), I’m jazzed for the game. Spezza’s line is going, and based on his play last night, you can tell Turris is on the verge of a multi-point night; the Sens should be able to string a couple of wins together and sweep the Florida swing.

The Senators still look somewhat shaky, even after the Tampa win, but at least the hands are loosened up. Nick Foligno is due to have a big game. Could be tonight.
