Florida Panthers (25-27-7) at Ottawa Senators (19-31-9)

James Gordon, SenatorsExtra.com editor/Citizen hockey writer

Senators 2, Panthers 1
While I don’t think the Senators will win many more games down the stretch, they should be competitive in this one. The Panthers aren’t exactly the class of the Eastern Conference and Craig Anderson should be motivated against his former team. At least these games are a little more difficult to predict now!
Record: 35-24

Have to like Anderson’s motivation against his old Panthers team. And what’s not to like about ‘Andy’s’ performance on Hockey Night In Canada vs. the Leafs?
Record: 35-24
Exact scores predicted: 4

Sens haven’t won back-to-back games in almost two months and they’re winless at home in the last nine. So despite Craig Anderson’s heroics on Saturday, I’ll have to wait and see if the Sens can actually build some positive momentum.
Record: 31-28
Exact scores predicted: 2

Based solely on the possibility that Craig Anderson will play some inspired hockey against one of his former team, the thought of picking the Senators intrigues me. However, based on Florida’s recent body of work, the Panthers
have played relatively well against strong competition and, after being embarrassed 5-1 by the Isles in their most recent game, they’ll probably play with a more concerted effort against Ottawa.
Record: 37-21
Exact scores predicted: 4

Senators 2, Panthers 1
Sure, I’ll give the boys the benefit of the doubt in this one. They still can’t score, but they are playing hard and maybe Anderson can throw another beauty like he did on Saturday.
Record: 36-22
Exact scores predicted: 2

Peter Raaymakers, writer/editor, Silver Seven Sens blog

Senators 2, Panthers 1
Will Craig Anderson be able to put up another stellar effort, this time against his former team? Sure, why not. The bigger question is whether the Senators will be able to put up two goals. That seems less likely, but time will tell.
Record: 35-22
Exact scores predicted: 3

Jeremy Milks, writer/editor, Black Aces blog

Says here they end the losing streak at home tonight, with Craig Anderson stepping up against his old team. This guy is the next Ron Tugnutt for the Senators, just with a less catchy name.
Record: 34-23
Exact scores predicted: 2
