Nashville Predators (32-17-5) at Ottawa Senators (27-22-7)

Apparently Paul MacLean wasn’t happy with how the Senators were practicing yesterday yet again. That doesn’t bode well against one of the most hard-working, disciplined groups in the league.

I’ve been getting killed in this slump. Picking against them will no doubt snap them out of it.

Senators 3, Predators 2
Since the calendar flipped to 2012, the Predators are 11-2-2. The Senators’ roller-coaster season has been hard to predict — so it would only seem logical that they break their seven-game losing streak against one of the league’s hottest teams.

Ottawa is playing better than a team that has lost seven straight. The recipe for a loss has been very familiar. Play a pretty solid game, but shoot yourself in the foot with horrific puck management. The Sens are overdue for a little puck luck. They get some tonight.

I’m predicting the Preds to win this one, so you can bank on Ottawa snapping their losing streak.

This used to be easy. Now I have no idea what to pick anymore. The Sens will win again, sooner or later, but the way their playing, how can you know? The Preds are pretty freaking hot right now, too. Will the Sens finally wake up and win one for Philips in his 1,000th game? You’d like to think so but until they can start putting the puck in the net again, its hard to justify picking them for a win.

I thought Ottawa played well against St. Louis but weren’t rewarded. They’re close to breaking out of the fog if they could just get a save. Tonight’s the night.

My only hope is that Phillips doesn’t score into his own net. 3-2 Preds.

You have to love the Canadian media…the Preds will roll the Sens…I guess the only way to get well deserved respect is to beat down the Sens… BTW how did the Sens have 5 allstars, what a joke

Predman – That’s what happens when people take their press releases too seriously. They wind up with people in the All-Stars, all the while the team itself is doing a crash-and-burn.
