Senators 2, Penguins 4
The Sens usually play well against the Penguins in Ottawa — as evidenced by a 5-0 shutout win in their last meeting. But games in Pittsburgh are usually a different story and the Consol Energy Center is the hardest building to play in for Eastern Conference opponents.

Defensive zone breakdowns have hurt the Senators of late, so playing a Penguins team that has only lost four times at home this season seems like a recipe for a loss.

Focus will not be an issue after what happened in Toronto Saturday night. Meanwhile, the Pens were in Glendale on Saturday. I’ll go with the first game back after a road trip theory.

This isn’t even a contest. The Penguins are the best team in the East and nothing seems capable of slowing them down, while the Senators can’t seem to win when it matters most. Saturday’s loss in Toronto has made me pretty cynical about this team’s chances of getting into the playoffs.

The Penguins will want to make Ottawa pay for that 5-0 pounding they took last time they met just before Christmas. I think it will be a close game but the Pens should win at home here.
