Ottawa Senators (17-25-8) at New Jersey Devils (16-30-3)

I’ve picked the Senators to win in two straight games, and that hasn’t really worked out for me. Guess I’ll give the Devils a shot. If you’re an Ottawa fan hoping for the best draft pick possible, this is a must-lose game for your team. The Senators lead the Devils by seven points in the standings, which means Ottawa still has plenty of ground to make up to get to that No. 1 pick.

Really don’t know about this one. Two bad teams. Five day break. Beats me. I’ll try the home team I guess.

There’s no sugar coating the fact that these are the two most disappointing teams in the NHL. But give the Devils some credit, as they’ve reversed their fortunes of late.

Even in an All-Star Game, the Senators have problems putting up points – Erik Karlsson was only one of four skaters who failed to register a single point. I’ll pick the Devils and a Marty Brodeur who apparently is “rounding into form.”

You could throw out a whole bunch of reasons as to why the Snes may show up for this game but sorry, this year, I have to see it before I’ll believe it. Hey James, do I get a car if I finish last in this thing?

I’d think the Devils might be just what the doctor ordered for the Senators, but New Jersey is playing some decent hockey of late. The Senators…well…they aren’t. Both teams get to benefit from the All-Star Break, but I don’t like Ottawa’s chances in this one.
Record: 28-20

Both teams should have some visible jump after the much needed breaks from their miserable seasons, but I’ll take the home team in this kind of scenario any day. Look for a big confidence boost from Erik Karlsson in this one.
Record: 30-20
Exact scores predicted: 2
