Winnipeg Jets (20-19-5) at Ottawa Senators (25-15-6)

James Gordon, SenatorsExtra.com editor/Citizen hockey writer

Senators 3, Jets 1
The Jets’ offence is sputtering right now, which is bad news considering how well Craig Anderson is playing in January. The only way I see them keeping pace in this game is if Alex Auld gets the start for the Senators, which is a possibility. For now though, it’s tough to fade the surging Senators.

Ian Mendes, Sportnet.ca Senators reporter and blogger

Senators 5, Jets 2
My only hope is that James Gordon didn’t also pick the Sens — because that will pretty much guarantee a Jets victory.

Graeme Nichols, writer/editor, The Sixth Sens blog and podcast

Senators 4, Jets 2
Like a gambler who can’t walk away from a hot streak at a craps table, I’m going to let it ride with the suddenly superb Craig Anderson and the Ottawa Senators.

Steve Lloyd, host, Healthy Scratches on Team 1200

Senators 4, Jets 1
The Sens have to be due for a let down at some point. Craig Anderson has covered up some spotty play of late. However, the Jets are pretty banged up right now and, well, the Sens are rolling. Who knew?

Peter Raaymakers, writer/editor, Silver Seven Sens blog

Senators 4, Jets 2
At some point, the Senators’ hot streak is going to come to an end. That point has not yet come. Sure, the Jets are an unpredictable team, and they can compete with just about anyone else in the league, but the Sens are a confident bunch. This should be a good game.

Russell, host, SensUnderground podcast

Senators 4, Jets 2
No one believes that Ottawa won’t lose again but seriously, how can you pick against them at the moment? Plus, the Jets are strug-gle-ling a little at the moment. Go with the hot hand.
Record: 32-14
Exact scores predicted: 1

Jeremy Milks, writer/editor, Black Aces blog

Senators 4, Jets 1
Ottawa is getting the Jets at just the right time. Losers of three in a row, the Jets also can’t seem to win on the road. The Senators seem mentally tough so I can’t see a letdown happening against a struggling team.
Record: 27-18
