In Tampa’s church of hockey, the Bishop stands tall.

Dare we predict a two-game sweep of Florida? If so it will be the first time since early November that the Sens win consecutive games. And the Panthers were part of that modest 3-game run (Nov. 5-7-9, CLB, MTL, FLA).

It’s not even game No. 30 yet and I have run out of witty things to say in this space.

Seen Stamkos? Not since he broke his leg. Sens take this one and stretch their winning streak to two games. Two!

We spoke to Bobby Ryan on the show yesterday, and he was talking like it’s getting pretty close to the season being on the line. I’ll buy into that with this pick. The Sens are due to get on a bit of a roll, right?

This is a tricky one to predict since the Lightning have been terrible lately, yet Ben Bishop still has strong statistics and will be motivated against his former team. Still, given Ottawa’s firepower and the fact that they pretty much must win this one to keep the slight playoff hopes they still have alive, I’ll go with Ottawa. But they will have to start better than they did in Miami.

The Bolts have only lost to Boston and Pittsburgh at home this year, and those clubs are tops in the East. Sure, Tampa’s been shut out twice in a row, but these are the Senators they’re facing. I expect Tampa to wake up tonight offensively.

I take after my Ottawa Senator idols in that my prediction panel entries always show up 20 minutes late. The difference is that we actually have an audience. #FearlessHumour
