Ottawa Senators (9-11-4) at Washington Capitals (12-10-2)

James Gordon (@SensReporter), Citizen Sports Editor

Senators 2, Capitals 3
The Senators are still a mess in their own end and they’re facing the NHL’s goal-scoring leader.
Record: 14-10
Exact scored predicted: 3

Wayne Scanlan (@HockeyScanner), Citizen Hockey Columnist and defending panel champion

Senators 2, Capitals 3
I just realized if we’d picked against Sens all year the record would be 15-9.
Record: 12-12
Exact scores predicted: 0

Ian Mendes (@ian_mendes), TSN 1200 The Drive host

Senators 3, Capitals 0
Yes — I am calling for a Sens shutout when I don’t know who the goalie will be.  Am I a little crazy? No. I am very crazy.
Record: 11-13
Exact scores predicted: 0

Graeme Nichols (@6thSens), writer/editor, The 6th Sens blog and podcast

Senators 3, Capitals 2
The Senators have won four straight games versus the Caps — outscoring them 13-6 during this stretch. I’ll bet on that trend continuing tonight.
Record: 11-13
Exact scores predicted: 1

Steve Lloyd (@TSNSteveLloyd), host, In the Box on TSN 1200

Senators 2, Capitals 4
Stop me if you’ve heard this one. The Sens will play well for the most part, but a few brain farts and bad penalties will cost them dearly.
Record: 14-10
Exact scores predicted: 1

Peter Raaymakers (@silversevensens), writer/editor, Silver Seven Sens blog

Senators 3, Capitals 5
I don’t see the Sens turning things around against Washington … Ovechkin usually gives Ottawa fits, and I don’t want to imagine the havoc he’ll wreak when streaking down the right wing against Ottawa’s left defencemen.
Record: 9-15
Exact scores predicted: 0

Jeremy Milks (@BlackAcesOtt), writer/editor, Black Aces blog

Senators 2, Capitals 5
The Senators have just as hard a time winning in Washington as they do in Carolina, and they’re not exactly “coming in hot” right now. Ovechkin is smiling right now thinking about that Ottawa defence.
Record: 13-11
Exact scores predicted: 1

Senators 4, Capitals 2
Unless you’re an NHL referee, you’ve probably never been in an enclosed space with 20,000 people who hold the exact opposite belief system as you. In the last calendar year, I’ve attended five road games in Metropolitan Division stadiums, so I’ve began to empathize. The Sens are an ugly 1-4 in those games, but I hope to break the streak in Washington on Wednesday.
Record: 13-11
Exact scores predicted: 0
