Something tells me this is a going to be long weekend.
Record: 13-9

Senators 2, Red Wings 3
Might be tough to beat even the aging Wings twice in a row at the Joe.
Record: 11-11

Both teams are struggling here, with the Wings having only won 3 times in their last 10. But the streaky Sens appear to be trending in the wrong direction right now.
Record: 10-12
Exact scores predicted: 0

Senators 3, Red Wings 2
Detroit’s the only team that Ottawa has played a full 60-minute complete game against and Alfie is expected to  be on the shelf, so I’ll take a Sens team that is due to win soon…
Record: 10-12
Exact scores predicted: 1

Hey. It worked last time for me. #lonewolf
Record: 13-9

Senators 0, Red Wings 2
After the massacre the Wings suffered at the hands of the Sens earlier in the season, expect Detroit to be highly motivated for this game — regardless of whether or not Daniel Alfredsson is in the lineup.
Record: 9-13
Exact scores predicted: 0

Senators 4, Red Wings 3
I have a feeling Spezza and Zibanejad will repay Paul MacLean with a huge game for rescuing them from purgatory. The hockey hugs will be joyous and merry.
Record: 11-11
Exact scores predicted: 1

To give you an idea of the futility of the Eastern Conference, before Thursday night’s game against Carolina, Detroit had lost 7 in a row, 5 of those in overtime or a shootout, and yet they still hold a 5 point cushion on a playoff spot. Given that I’m not allowed to choose both teams losing, I’m going to go with the closest thing and predict Ottawa wins 3-2 in a shootout, powered mainly by Spezza and Michalek being demoted to the 4th line to play with Mika Zibanejad.
Record: 12-10
Exact scores predicted: 0
