Dallas Stars (5-6-2) at Ottawa Senators (4-6-3)

In a coin flip, I always go with the home team. Doesn’t mean I feel all that confident about it.

What’s that definition of insanity — doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? I’m completely certifiable by this point.

As a die-hard Cowboys fan, I will never bet against Dallas in a 1 p.m. game on a Sunday.

Having dropped their past four home games, the Senators have to win again at home eventually. Who better to turn their fortunes around than by playing a Dallas Stars team that has struggled on the road (2-5-0) this season.

There’s something happening here. What it is ain’t exactly clear.
There’s a GM with a phone over there.
Telling me I got to beware.

This run has to end at some time, right? This might not be the likeliest opponent to right the ship, but things seem to be coming together — slowly.

The good news is the Stars are one of the worst goal-scoring teams in the West and they’ve already lost five times on the road. The bad news is the Senators are the perfect tonic for teams with those issues. Ottawa had some good moments against the Islanders and they’ll hang on for a much needed win here today.

I made my prediction today by rolling two dice and randomly assigning each number to a team, which is what I like to call “The Paul MacLean Method.”
