Ottawa Senators (7-4-2) at Pittsburgh Penguins (8-5-0)

James Gordon (@SensReporter), Citizen Sports Editor

Senators 2, Penguins 6
After the last time these two teams faced off, the Senators lost Jason Spezza to back surgery (he had an assist and a shootout goal in the contest). Without him in the lineup, I don’t see how they knock off the Penguins at home.
Record: 8-5
Exact scored predicted: 1

Wayne Scanlan (@HockeyScanner), Citizen Hockey Columnist

Senators 2, Penguins 4
Hard to pick against the rested home team in this one. Pens are cranky after getting swept by the Devils on the weekend.
Record: 8-5
Exact scores predicted: 0

Ian Mendes (@ian_mendes), Sportnet.ca Senators reporter and blogger and defending prediction panel champion

Senators 3, Penguins 2
When Craig Anderson gets hot, he’s hard to beat. Looks like he’s still in the zone after Tuesday’s shutout win over the Sabres.
Record: 5-8
Exact scores predicted: 0

Graeme Nichols (@6thSens), writer/editor, The Sixth Sens blog and podcast

Senators 1, Penguins 3
Although Sidney Crosby has only shot 5.7% vs the Sens in his career (his lowest mark vs an Eastern Conference team), I’ll pick a rested Penguins team that is facing a Senators team that is playing the second half of a back-to-back on the road.
Record: 7-6
Exact scores predicted: 0

Steve Lloyd (@Steve_Lloyd), host, In the Box on Team 1200

Senators 1, Penguins 4
Having a team like the Penguins waiting for you at their place after you played the night before…..just isn’t good.
Record: 7-6
Exact scores predicted: 0

Peter Raaymakers (@silversevensens), writer/editor, Silver Seven Sens blog

Senators 1, Penguins 4
The Pens are poised for an offensive outburst after the Devils shut them down in the last two games. Even if their defence is riddled with holes right now, they’ve got the strength up front to generate all sorts of chances and Craig Anderson can’t stop them all.
Record: 8-5
Exact scores predicted: 2

Jeremy Milks (@BlackAcesOttawa), writer/editor, Black Aces blog

Senators 1, Penguins 4
A back-to-back is tough enough. On the road against the Pens? That’s too much to ask for Ottawa right now.
Record: 8-5
Exact scores predicted: 1
