Ottawa Senators (4-6-1) at Toronto Maple Leafs (5-4-1)

There was a time when the Senators could count on two points any time they faced the Maple Leafs. Now the opposite is true. For some reason, Toronto has had the upper hand the last little while. Actually, I know the reason. His name is Phil Kessel.
Record: 5-6

I would love to say the Sens will bounce back and nip the Buds, but I’m just not feeling it. Two desperate teams, something has to give, but until Ottawa shows it can beat the Leafs in their barn (O-for-3 is the current streak) it’s hard not to go with the home team.
Record: 8-3

The Leafs have struggled offensively, but they seem to have Ottawa’s number lately. Toronto has won three straight over Ottawa at the ACC — outscoring them 10-1 in the last two games. The Sens need to find an answer for Phil Kessel, who has been nothing short of spectacular against Ottawa.
Record: 7-4
Exact scores predicted: 1

A loss against Toronto and the Sens Army will be reduced to a catatonic state. The only thing bigger than this game is JS Giguere’s equipment.
Record: 8-3
Exact scores predicted: 3

When you factor in a demoralizing loss to the Bruins and a seemingly endless string of “tweaks” to key players, you’d be tempted to pick against the Sens…IF they were playing anyone but the Laffs. Never, NEVER will I pick against our boys when they play those dorks. Now, someone get Pascal some Kevlar if he’s sitting on the bench tonight.
Record: 7-4
Exact scores predicted: 1

You’d better believe the Senators will be motivated for this game. Plus it’s not on a Saturday night, so the odds are in Ottawa’s favour… a little bit. Maybe. Bottom line, if the Sens want to contain the number of people waiting to tear this team apart, they’ll have to beat Toronto tonight. Brian Elliott, we will need some serious heroics from you.
Record: 7-4

Senators 4, Leafs 3
It’s hard to get your head around the Senators having lost their last five games against the Leafs, but there it is, like a co-worker talking to you with jam in the corner of their mouth, and the last thing you want to do is mention it, but it’s all you can think about. Something like that. Tonight, the Senators will break the streak and send Leaf Nation into further turmoil. Side bet is on who gets booed more: Alfredsson or Phaneuf.
Record: 7-4
Exact scores predicted: 2
