After word leaked out a week ago, the Ottawa Senators made it official on Wednesday that they’ve re-signed forward Stephane Da Costa to a one-year, two-way contract.

After word leaked out a week ago, the Ottawa Senators made it official on Wednesday that they’ve re-signed forward Stephane Da Costa to a one-year, two-way contract.

Da Costa, 24, spend most of 2012-13 with the Binghamton Senators.

He shared the team lead in points with 38 and led with 25 assists. He had one goal and one assist in nine games with the Senators.

In 35 NHL games, he has scored four goals and three assists.

In 103 AHL games, he has scored 26 goals and 48 assists.

Still unsigned is restricted free agent defenceman Jared Cowen.

Da Costa will be at training camp next month, but will almost certainly spend most of the year in Binghamton.
