Brian Elliott will get another start in goal as the Ottawa Senators attempt to string together two wins for the first time this season Thursday night.

Coach Cory Clouston said Elliott has played well of late and the team is happy running with him right now.

The Senators will be without centre Jason Spezza again as he continues to recover from a going injury, but will have the services of winger Milan Michalek against the Florida Panthers.

Michalek missed the morning skate with tenderness in his knee, but he’ll be ready to go by game time.

Meanwhile, No. 1 goaltender Pascal Leclaire has apparently had a setback in his recovery from a groin pull. He had been skating again, but has had to return to off-ice workouts only.

having watched the game against the coyotes, i saw some of the senators that won 11 straight games & gave the pens a run for their money in the playoffs. Brian Elliott has been playing better, not letting in so many soft goals, & giving us chances to get ahead & stay ahead. I think that the 5 – 2 win against the coyotes has given them some of the confidence they have been lacking for a while. If they do what they did last game, they have a really good chance of winning their second in a row. All we need now is for Regin & FOLIGNO to find the inside of the net, & the return of Kuba & Spezza, & Leclaire. He was just starting to heat up before his injury. Hopefully he will be able to get back into that groove. We have made it to the playoffs 13 times in the last 15 yrs, so I believe that we can do it again.

    GO SENS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
