Senators give Butler another shot

The Ottawa Senators continue to rotate their prospects though the lineup.

The Ottawa Senators continue to rotate their prospects though the lineup.

The latest call-up from AHL Binghamton is Bobby Butler, who had a quiet stint with the big club earlier this season. He didn’t register a point in four games in December.

He has 19 goals and 11 assists in 41 games with Bingo this season.

Butler is filling Alex Kovalev’s spot in the lineup while the Russian winger recovers from a knee injury.

From what I’ve seen of Butler during yesterday’s game, I like what it. A good future Sens. Kovalev should remain on the disabled list and keep butler with the big team…he can’t do worse than Kovalev.
