Senators expect Neil to be ready for start of playoffs
Chris Neil of the Ottawa Senators lies prone on the ice after he crashed heavily into the boards during practice held at the Bell Sensplex, in Ottawa, On, on April 06, 2012.

SHORT HILLS, New Jersey – Chris Neil will be OK for the playoffs.
That was the good news from Ottawa Senators coach Paul MacLean on Saturday morning.
Neil is still aching from crashing head-first into the boards during a shootout drill at the end of Friday’s practice, but the Senators expect him to be ready for the start of their first-round playoff series on Thursday.
“At this point, it’s unchanged, we’ll see how he is day-by-day,” said MacLean.
“But at this point there’s nothing to be concerned about. At this point, (the playoffs) are not supposed to be in jeopardy.”
“He went into the boards hard, but he’s a pretty hard guy.
“But we don’t anticipate any issue with it at this point.”
To take Neil’s place in the lineup, Kaspars Daugavins went in against the Devils.
On defence, Matt Gilroy went in for Matt Carkner.
Craig Anderson was in net, with Ben Bishop as the backup.

Even though they outshot Bruins in last game, they we’rent playing their best hockey, they are more dynamite when they play with pride. I believe we’ll do well in the post season, but would have been nice for Karlsson to at least get 2 more points before the season ends, trying to break records and most importantly be the player to win that Norris trophy, hope he picks up his game soon.
