It’s Saturday morning and the Senators are practicing at Scotiabank Place and I can still hear the booing about the atrocious power play in Friday’s 3-2 loss to the Calgary Flames.
It was awful. At times, the Flames were far more dangerous than the Senators during Ottawa’s manpower advantage.
Something is missing and that something appears to be Jason Spezza.
The Senators are now 0-for-14 on the power play in their past four games. In the eight games since Spezza went down with his shoulder injury on Dec. 26, the Senators are a mere 2-for-26 with the manpower edge.
