Bryan Murray and Tim Murray!
They got the job under false pretenses, stabbing John Muckler in the back and floating in here on a cloud of “OTTAWAH BOI” repartee, throwing one-liners and living off a cloud of pretension and so on.
We keep hearing how they drafted Getzlaf and Perry. Hey, people, THE DUCKS SUCKED. They got to draft those two because under Murray’s tenure the Ducks were a laughinstock, missing the playoffs for multiple years. Jiggy was a Gauthier draft pick that played out of his skull because his mom had passed away and he was completely focused on the game. Look at Murray’s guys…Ozolinsh, Fedorov, pluggers and he ran Paul Kariya out of town!
Enough of Murray and his family circus! Enough!
HIRE OUTSIDE THE CITY. Get someone with no ties to the region or the organization that can look at this clinically and make hard decisions, unconstrained by organizational loyalty or ties.
Clean out the underachieving darlings…Fisher, Kelly, Neil, Alfredsson, all out.
Bring in a bunch of 20-24 year olds with hunger, drive, passion, who will skate their legs off night after night.
Blow it up and keep the Murrays far away!
