Ottawa’s goalie shuffle
Senators coach Cory Clouston said Wednesday he’s going to alternate his goalies, Brian Elliott and Robin Lehner, until one of them grasps the brass ring that goes with the No. 1 job.
That put Lehner in net against the Flames on Wednesday.
Elliott racked up his 13th straight loss on Monday when the Vancouver Canucks beat him 4-2.
Lehner has not officially been served notice he’ll be here for the rest of the year, but Clouston said it’s a definite possibility.
“Is it carved in stone? No,” he said. “We still want to make sure we’re doing what’s best for him.
“We just need one of those guys to step up over the next little while, and until they do that we’re going to basically alternate them and between games work on the areas that need to be worked on.”
