All seven players who were selected by the Ottawa Senators in the NHL draft last weekend will attend the team’s annual development camp, which runs Tuesday through Monday.

In all, the club has invited three goaltenders, 12 defencemen and 20 forwards.

The camp, which features both on and off-ice training, is led by director of player development Randy Lee, video coach Tim Pattyson, conditioning coach Chris Schwarz. and power-skating specialist Marc Power.

There will be 1:30 p.m. on-ice sessions at the Bell Sensplex every day except next Monday, when a 3-on-3 tournament will be held beginning at 9:45 a.m.

There will also be a 5-on-5 scrimmage on Thursday at 7 p.m., after which there will be a meet-and-greet reception with season-seat owners.

All of the on-ice sessions at the Sensplex are open to the public.

Off-ice activities will be a talk about champions from Carleton University men’s basketball head coach Dave Smart, a seminar on sport nutrition and cooking from nutrition specialist Molly Morgan and an information session on injury recovery with head athletic therapist Gerry Townend.

Of the 35 invited players, 29 are Ottawa draft picks.

Nine attendees spent at least a portion of the 2011-12 season with the Binghamton Senators, and four of them — Mike Hoffman, Robin Lehner, Mark Borowiecki and Mark Stone — played NHL games for the Senators last season.

The Senators have also invited a number of players who weren’t drafted.

A notable name on the list is University of New Hampshire defenceman Trevor van Riemsdyk, brother of Toronto Maple Leaf forward James.
