One upside to fan disenchantment: YouTube hilarity
Many “funny” YouTube videos suffer from various weaknesses, including jumpy editing and sound, lousy production values and hyper-cheesiness. Two Ottawa Senators fans have made a real gem, however, and in HD to boot. Set to “Quit Playing Games With My Heart” by the Backstreet Boys, the video follows their journey though the Senators’ humiliating 2010-2011 campaign. It has everything: A tearful goodbye to Mike Fisher after chucking his poster in the recycling bin, attempting to trade Wade Redden for Zdeno Chara in a video game, getting a TSN alert that Ottawa dropped to 6th in the NHL draft and having a flashback to when the logos were different and the team was good.
