The Toronto Maple Leafs are certainly getting the jump on their centennial celebrations. There are already reports the club is homing in on the 2017 NHL draft, All-Star Game and an outdoor match that year. Although the milestone is still five years away, the Leafs recently applied to make the above logo a trade mark in Canada.

That’s all well and good, but the big question remains: Will they make the playoffs before then?
